Life sends us challenges we must overcome to make us stronger. I didn't realize this when I was age 8..when my 3rd grade art teacher chastised me for pasting felt onto paper.. "We don't glue felt on paper, we sew it onto felt." That was my introduction to learning applique. Wish I still had that first felt applique wall hanging of a tree with a few leaves against a blue sky and grass background.
